Welcome to the North Bend Elementary School Website. We are a community of life-long learners, working together to provide meaningful educational and social experiences for our students. We are located in rural Jarrettsville, Maryland, in the rolling countryside of northern Harford County. We hope you enjoy our website.

North Bend Elementary School, located in rural Jarrettsville, Harford County, Maryland, opened in September, 1991. Since then the staff and parents have worked in a successful partnership to create a supportive and challenging learning environment, dedicated to meeting the needs of all students. North Bend Elementary School is proud of its wonderful monthly PTA newsletter. In it each month you will find a letter from our principal, Mr. Steve Hardy, articles about student events, notice of upcoming activities and events, and a monthly calendar. We would love to send you an electronic copy of the newsletter as soon as it is published, so be sure to sign up in the area to the left. Give us your email address, and your child's or children's names, and we'll save paper by sending your copy by email attachment. It is necessary to sign up each year to receive the newsletter by email. Thanks to Mrs. Kris Foster for editing the newsletter. Parent volunteers make a huge difference!

Important Information
For the first time, North Bend will be combining the best of “Sneak-a-Peek” and “Back to School Night” into one evening of information and fun. So, mark your calendars for Tuesday, August 25, 2009 from 5:00PM – 8:00PM. We encourage all parents and students to be in attendance to explore the classrooms, gain insight into the year, and enjoy watermelon and music with your new classmates. Please look for more details including an agenda to come home with your child.
