Welcome to the third grade page

Sarah Stran       Dayle Kirby       Theresa Getz        Erin Bowling

In third grade, we are working to build a bridge between the primary and intermediate years.  Students are developing a greater sense of independence from their teachers and their families in this year, and taking responsibility for completion of homework and other tasks.  During this year they become more competent readers and begin to develop critical thinking skills.  We focus on responding to questions across the curriculum.  Content areas become more important, and along with that, study skills begin to be developed.  Technology and other tools become more available to students to enhance their learning experience and background knowledge.

The third grade team at North Bend strives to work in partnership with the families of their students to develop a life-long love of learning.
