The National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) offers a “Success in School/Skills for Life”   Online Resource Kit to provide parents with basic information about a child’s academic, emotional and social development.  Handouts are free and may be downloaded at  http://www.naspcenter.org/.  The topics available change frequently throughout the school year.  Here are links to a few NASP pages that may be helpful to parents:

Schwab Learning  also provides free and reliable information to parents of children with learning difficulties.  Schwab Learning provides effective strategies for supporting your child at home and at school.

The Child Development Institute provides resources related to child development, learning, health/safety, and parenting.  In addition, information about many childhood disorders is available.

Another recommended website is Parenting-Ed  This site, organized by the Center for Effective Learning offers a myriad of resources for parents on creating strong, healthy families.  Some of the sections are Family Fun, Parent Education, and Teacher Resources.
