Random House Kids Literature Pages - Random House for students has links for the Magic Tree House books, Junie B. Jones, Nate the Great and other popular series. Students can use this site to join clubs that encourage reading of these series.
Enchanted Learnings Dictionary pages - Enchanted Learning presents a wonderful illustrated dictionary for children. Not only does this site have words in English, but also translation dictionaries so students can find how to say that word in French, Spanish or Japanese word.
Enchanted Learnings Calendar Pages - This site gives students the chance to make their own calendar or print out one that is already created. There are many different choices, such as an African-American History Calendar, Endangered Animals Calendar, and calendars in several languages.
Book Adventure - this site is a wonderful and fun resource for students and their parents. Here you can find a search engine to help students find books they will love. Put in your likes and wants, and the site suggests several books. After you read the books, you can access online quizzes to see how well you read the book. Answer enough questions correctly and you will earn points towards free prizes. You will need your parent's permission to get prizes, and their help to get on the site the first time.
Summer Reading Lists - Education World provides us with this wonderful group of lists organized by grade level. Enjoy these books over the summer or at other times. Books are annotated.

SEIR Tec - Parents page has a huge amount of information on reading and children.
Scholastic's Family Pages - This site has lots of information on everything connected with reading. Articles can be found based on your child’s grade. Many activities to enhance reading skills are found at Scholastic.com.
University of Calgary Parent's Resources Children’s Literature Resources for Parents – this site has not been updated lately, but still has many resources for parents. Book lists and suggestions for helping your child learn to read are linked from here.
Miami University Picture Book Database This site contains a database of children’s picture books. Use their database to find a book on a specific topic.
Database of Award Willing Children's Literature - This site contains another database for children’s literature; this list has all the award winning books of the last several years. It also has pages explaining all the children's literature rewards. Great site!
